Members of the rock band Jane’s Addiction were involved in an onstage altercation during their concert in Boston on Friday night.

In a video shared on social media, lead singer Perry Farrell is seen throwing a punch at guitarist Dave Navarro amid a heated exchange. Farrell, 65, forcefully lunged toward Navarro, 57, while Navarro appeared to place his hands on Farrell's chest to stop him.

During the tense moment, Farrell can be seen yelling at Navarro before throwing the punch. Security quickly intervened, restraining Farrell to prevent the situation from escalating further. Despite their efforts, Farrell remained visibly upset, attempting to go after Navarro again.

Farrell’s wife, Etty Lau, later addressed the incident on social media, offering her perspective on what happened. According to her, there had been growing tension within the band, with Farrell becoming increasingly frustrated due to his health issues, including tinnitus and a sore throat, which affected his performance. She explained that Farrell’s frustration boiled over when fans in the front row complained about the sound levels.

Etty Lau’s post detailed how the argument ended, including bassist Eric Avery stepping in and putting Farrell in a headlock before the concert was abruptly cut short.

Jane’s Addiction has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
