Oasis Reunion? Rumors Swirl About Gallagher Brothers Reuniting for Upcoming Concerts

Have the Gallagher Brothers Finally Made Peace? Speculation Mounts That Liam and Noel Are Reuniting Oasis for a Historic Series of Concerts

Rumors are intensifying that Liam and Noel Gallagher have set aside their infamous differences to reunite Oasis, sparking excitement for what could be one of the most highly anticipated concert series in the U.K. in decades.

According to The Times of London, music industry insiders have revealed that Oasis is set to perform a series of massive concerts in the summer of 2025. The lineup reportedly includes "multiple vast gigs" at Manchester's Heaton Park and London's Wembley Stadium. There are even whispers that Oasis might headline Glastonbury next year.

Other major U.K. newspapers have echoed The Times’ report, and Liam Gallagher seemingly confirmed the news by responding to The Times on X/Twitter with, “See you down the front.”

Speculation hit a fever pitch on Sunday when Oasis's official social media channels posted a cryptic video featuring just the date, August 27, hinting at an imminent announcement. Noel Gallagher’s Twitter account also shared the same video.

Oasis last performed together in August 2009, with the band disbanding just before a scheduled performance at the Rock en Seine festival near Paris. Reports at the time pointed to a series of intense verbal and physical clashes between Liam and Noel leading up to the festival. Noel later announced his departure from the band on Oasis's official website, stating, “It is with some sadness and great relief…I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

The turbulent relationship between the Gallagher brothers has been a defining feature of Oasis since the band’s inception, providing ample tabloid fodder throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Their public feuds often led to temporary splits, and even after the band's official breakup, the brothers continued their often humorous and very public war of words. Noel famously described Liam as “the angriest man you’ll ever meet…a man with a fork in a world of soup,” while Liam has consistently mocked his older brother on social media, frequently calling him a “potato.”

In recent years, however, there have been signs of reconciliation. Liam has been vocal about his desire for a reunion, while Noel has hinted in interviews that he might consider it—if the price is right. In a May 2021 interview, Noel stated he would reunite Oasis for $130 million.

If Oasis does confirm their reunion, the summer 2025 gigs will coincide with the 30th anniversary of their seminal album, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, which sold over 22 million copies worldwide and propelled the band to international stardom with hits like “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” and “Champagne Supernova.”

Oasis, who rose to prominence during the Britpop era of the mid-’90s, also produced notable albums like their 1994 debut Definitely Maybe and 1997’s Be Here Now, further cementing their status as one of the most influential bands of their time.

Fans are eagerly awaiting official confirmation, and if the rumors are true, Oasis’s return could mark a monumental moment in music history.
