Charlotte Dawson Announces Pregnancy Amid Fiancé's Text Scandal: 'I Feared Losing My Baby'

 With two lovely children and a devoted fiancé, Charlotte Dawson seemed to have everything she could want. But her world was turned upside down earlier this month when she discovered that her partner, Matthew Sarsfield, had been sexting another woman.

Struggling to process the betrayal and make sense of Matthew’s inexplicable actions, Charlotte has been harboring a closely guarded secret—she’s pregnant with their third child. “It’s been an overwhelming time,” Charlotte, 31, reveals through tears from her home in Blackpool. “Dealing with the heartbreak, the pain, the disappointment, and being pregnant on top of it all… it’s been absolutely awful.”

After discovering her unexpected pregnancy in July, Charlotte and Matthew were trying to come to terms with the idea of another baby, a sibling for brothers Noah, three, and one-year-old Jude. But then, at the beginning of August, a woman came forward with the suggestive messages Matthew had sent her. Shocked and devastated, Charlotte immediately kicked Matthew out of their home and has been grappling with their future ever since.

“Matthew has been doing everything he can to make this right,” she says as she gently cradles her growing belly. “He’s apologized repeatedly and admits he can’t even understand what happened—he was drunk when he sent the messages. It all happened before we found out about the pregnancy. We’re considering couples’ counseling, but he knows he has to work on himself first.”

Despite allowing Matthew, 32, back into the family home, Charlotte is far from forgiving him. “I made him apologize to the life-size cardboard cutout I keep of my dad,” she shares. “And he has a lot to make up for with my mum, too.”

Ultimately, Charlotte’s decision to let Matthew back in was driven by her concern for their children. “Noah is three, and he’s very perceptive,” she explains. “He started asking where daddy was, and I didn’t want a broken home. I didn’t sign up for this. I want to do what’s best for my kids. Matthew is committed to making this work, and I don’t want our new baby to be born into chaos. But I haven’t made any decisions about our engagement yet… Matthew has to prove he’s changed before I can decide what’s next for us, romantically.”

With her relationship hanging by a thread and a new baby due in March, Charlotte’s conflicting emotions are evident as she navigates this challenging time.
