1,000-Lb. Sisters' Star Amy Slaton Arrested at Zoo on Charges of Drug Possession and Child Endangerment: Police Report"


Reality TV star Amy Slaton is facing serious legal trouble after being arrested at a Tennessee zoo on charges of drug possession and child endangerment.

On Monday, September 2, the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a guest allegedly being bitten by a camel at Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo, according to a Facebook post from the department.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies detected suspicious odors coming from the vehicle of Slaton and her companion, Brian Scott Lovvorn, which led to their arrest. Slaton, known for her role on TLC's 1,000-Lb. Sisters since its debut in January 2020, and Lovvorn are both facing charges of illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule IV substances, along with two counts of child endangerment, as detailed in the post.

Both Slaton and Lovvorn have been booked into the Crockett County Jail on these charges. The authorities have not disclosed the identity of the person allegedly bitten by the camel or provided any further details about the incident.

In a statement, the Sheriff's Department emphasized that the charges are accusations and that both individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

This arrest comes during a challenging period for Slaton, who announced her separation from her husband of four years, Michael Halterman, in March 2023. The couple shares two young sons, Gage Deon, 4, and Glenn Allen, 2.

Slaton has previously opened up about the difficulties she has faced, including her struggles with mental health following her divorce. In December 2023, she revealed to PEOPLE that her mental health had reached an all-time low, impacting both her and her children.

Despite the difficulties, Slaton had expressed her joy about motherhood, calling it a lifelong dream come true.
